
Two criminals fleeing from the police after committing a robbery in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Mataderos ran over two motorcyclists. Despite the seriousness of the accident, the motorcyclists only suffered minor injuries.
One of the suspects was detained after the escape. The other individual managed to flee. This weekend, a new incident occurred in Villa Lugano where a man was arrested after a chase that began in Mataderos. The event took place on Manuel Artigas street at 6500, where members of Police Station 9A observed two men attempting to steal a wheel from a parked vehicle.
Upon noticing the police presence, the suspects fled in a blue Volkswagen Fox car. During the chase, at the intersection of Santander and Araujo, the fleeing vehicle collided with a motorcycle carrying two people. A woman was injured and was taken to Santojanni Hospital with multiple injuries, but was not in life-threatening condition.
After the crash, the suspects abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. One of them was arrested at the scene, while the other escaped towards the Copello neighborhood. Inside the car, a stolen tire from a Toyota vehicle was recovered, along with tools used in the attempted robbery.
The detainee, 39 years old, already had a record for attempted robbery in March 2024.
